The Year of the Snake: Celebrate Joy, Renewal, and Transformation!

In 2025, Step Out Arts proudly co-curated the Museum of London Docklands’ Lunar New Year programme for the 11th year. That year, Step Out Arts collaborated with Tainan University of Technology to bring outstanding young dancers from Taiwan to England for a special Lunar New Year celebration. This exciting international partnership offered London audiences a fresh and inspiring cultural experience, showcasing both contemporary and traditional Taiwanese dance in a global context.

For the students, the visit provided invaluable opportunities to perform on an international stage while they developed their skills through interactive workshops and community engagement. Together, we celebrated creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange through the universal language of dance.

Audiences experienced breathtaking performances of traditional Taiwanese folk dance and joined interactive workshops to explore Taiwan’s vibrant culture. The celebration extended beyond the museum as the dancers visited schools outside London, sharing their artistry with young audiences.
