Khamlane Halsackda – A double Bill – A single Act and Yellow Card

Previewed at Pavilion Dance -  26th February 2012

Premiered at Dansstationen, Sweden -12th and 13th May 2012.

A single Act

This piece is inspired by the moment when Khamlane fell in love for the first time. By the re-enactment of this period in his life and the recalling of memories from his childhood, he explores what love is to him and perhaps to each of us.

“Rough and raw…” Donald Hutera, Dance Europe

Yellow Card (2012), in collaboration with Rumiko Otsuka, is it’s sequel. It looks at the contradiction of the East Asian image; What exists in the eyes of society and what may really exist beneath such stereotypes? Two East Asians go where others fear to tread by confronting racial stereotypes with a pinch of dance and a lot of humour.

“Wickedly clever…a charming humour…truly mesmerizing.” Patrick Gough, 8 days media

These shows are a moving and entertaining mix of dance and theatre.
