Ribbon Dance

Ribbon Dance is one of the most popular Chinese folk dances. It originated from India and followed trade to China and has since become an integrated part of Chinese culture. It was even included in the Olympic opening ceremony.  It is the most popular workshop welcomed in schools as the outcome is visually phenomenal.

Suitable for children of all ages and can be delivered indoors or outdoors.


Chinese New Year Storytelling 

Interactive Chinese New Year storytelling, with a view to teaching some basic Chinese words and phases.  Relevant traditional props will be used during the storytelling.

Suitable for children aged 4 – 9 years old.


Kung Fu & Tai Chi 

Tai Chi is a type of exercise that contains slow graceful movements which helps improve posture and the circulation of energy in the body. Kung Fu is a form of self defense that improves physical strength and muscle development.

Suitable for children age 3+. This workshop can be delivered indoors or outdoors.

Chinese Calligraphy

An opportunity for participants to take part in learning the traditional Chinese way of writing using selected characters and Chinese brush and ink.

Suitable for children of all ages.




Chinese Horoscope / Horse Lanterns

Transforming paper lanterns into decorative traditional Chinese horoscope animals using various traditional paper sculpting techniques, this year we will be working on the theme of horse.  Suitable for children aged 5+.

Chinese Music

Through demonstration and introduction of each instrument, children have opportunities to have hands on experience with various traditional Chinese instruments.


Suitable for children aged 4 – 11 years old.


Chinese Lion Dance

Lion Dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese Culture, in which performers mimic a lions movements from within a lion costume. The workshop will contain learning the movement and steps in a group and in pairs, (as the lion dance takes two people to perform) before participants have a go with the lion prop.

Suitable for ages 7+ and workshop can be delivered indoors or outdoors.
